Data Info and Knowledge pt1

Data, Information and Knowledge
Define Data?
Data is a collection of values sometimes referred to as raw values

Define Information?
Information is data that has been made meaningful.

Define Knowledge?

Knowledge is the broad understanding of the context.

What does data reprepresent?
Data represents raw facts and figures

In information how do you make a form accessible to users?
A form may be placed onto the internet etc but in order to do this you need to change the format, sorting and grouping etc into tables.

in DB7 we had to create a report for Andrew

showing the members and their feecode.the report had to have a suitable title and ordere by surname

we were asked to use one of the most difficult tasks using the query function. this tasks had to be done using a design wizard. the query had to include information fomr 2 different tables and the info was membershipno, firstname, surname, street, town, postcode. the info also had to be sorted in surname ascending.

this db task required me to enter new data into the agegrou

p table so that i could have new information for future tasks

this is the realtionship task and i have completed this by using the relationship featue between the agegroup and the fee table.
